Linux is steadily growing in popularity. A few years ago someone said that Linux is mostly done. Has something changed in that regard?
During the presentation I'm going to talk about the process of linux development, look at who are the most vivid linux developers, show the best online resources about linux, and walk through some of the most prominent moments from linux history.
The talk is not deeply technical, and should be interesting to a wide audience.
For the past 8 years Eugene has been programming web applications in Ruby and Elixir. Throughtout these years he has been increasingly interested in lower level tools, databases, as well as networking and operating systems. Recently he turned his interests into Kubernetes and various ops-related tasks. And yes, he still works on eHealth project!
